Tip #1: Bargaining for the Best Offer

Quite often, vendors in the Caribbean will be willing to negotiate along with you when they are selling their products. If you are looking for something like a memorabilia hammock, you're likely to find a lot of merchants all within strolling distance in any major visitor destination. All of them are competing towards each other, so they will usually become willing to drop their cost to levels that may appear ridiculous.

If your negotiation abilities aren't quite up to par, the simplest thing for you to remember would be to walk away. If they believe they're losing the sale, numerous vendors will quickly chase a person down, dropping their costs every single step.

However, probably the most important things to remember is that these folks depend on this income to outlive! At times, they will certainly end up being willing to lose money on a specific product just to have enough money to consider a bus home in the evening. Don't be terrible, but know that you more often than not have a little wiggle space on the "final pricing."

Call resorts and ask for the best prices in honeymoon packages. Most hotels and resorts will offer alot of discounts.

Tip #2: Keep a Copy of the Credit Cards and Passports

The quickest way to ruin any vacation in Belize adventure is to lose your wallet or purse. In case your personal identification cards or even credit cards are stolen, you will have to cancel them immediately as well as contact your nearest embassy.

Before leaving, however, make copies of most your cards, and take note of contact numbers for each of these so that you know who to call. Keep copies within your hotel room (preferably in a safe place). As long as you contact your bank(s) inside a reasonable time-frame, they usually will certainly reverse any charges that could have been fraudulently incurred.

Tip #3: Talk to the Local People

It's very common for journey agencies to recommend locations to go while you're staying in a particular city. What's also typical, is that these agencies occasionally make money on the back-end in case you visit these places. This is rather standard with cruise ships. They are going to tell you that "taking the neighborhood taxi services can be dangerous," when it fact, they actually just want to sell you upon using the buses or taxis that they provide (sometimes covertly).

Don't be afraid to ask nearby residents for their recommendations on where you can visit and what the best and also safest mode of transport is. If you want to visit some luxury places and affordable places to stay in, I'm sure they know about it. But make sure that safety should still be your best concern in the Caribbean.

Suggestion #4: Try New Foods

On your Caribbean vacation, you need to try out as many different types of meals as you possibly can. My personal favorite in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico may be the "Yucatan Style Chicken."
